Cambridge, MA — The World Pre-Health Conference (WPC) at Harvard University is proud to announce its third in-person keynote speaker for its 2026 Conference: Dr. Robert I. Grossman, one of the most influential physician-leaders in academic medicine and healthcare transformation.
Dr. Grossman currently serves as executive vice president to the Board of Trustees of NYU Langone Health. From 2007 to 2025, he served as chief executive officer of NYU Langone Health and dean of NYU Grossman School of Medicine, where he led one of the most remarkable institutional transformations in modern U.S. healthcare. Under his leadership, NYU Langone grew into a top-ranked integrated academic health system, spanning multiple states, with nationally recognized excellence in patient outcomes, quality, safety, research, and medical education.
A hallmark of Dr. Grossman’s legacy is innovation in medical education and access. He pioneered the nation’s first accelerated three-year MD pathway at a top-ranked medical school and established full-tuition scholarships for all medical students, reshaping how future physicians are trained and supported. In recognition of his impact, both NYU Grossman School of Medicine and NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine were named in his honor.
Beyond administration, Dr. Grossman is a world-renowned neuroradiologist and scientist, with more than 340 publications, multiple textbooks, and decades of NIH-funded research, including pioneering work in multiple sclerosis and magnetic resonance imaging. He has received some of the field’s highest honors, including the Gold Medals of the American Society of Neuroradiology and the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine, and election to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
Dr. Grossman is also widely respected as a mentor and educator, having trained more than 100 fellows now serving in leadership roles worldwide. His career exemplifies the intersection of clinical excellence, scientific discovery, ethical leadership, and large-scale systems thinking.
The World Pre-Health Conference is honored to welcome Dr. Grossman as part of its distinguished lineup of keynote speakers for 2026. He will share invaluable insights on leadership in medicine, the future of healthcare systems, and how physicians can drive meaningful change at every level of the profession.
Additional speakers and program details will be announced in the coming months.
